David Rocco's Cumberland Street bar is built around the Italian idea of aperitivo: a drink, something small to eat, and no hurry. The room opens onto Yorkville with bifold glass doors, the menu runs polenta fries with Parmigiano, mozzarella in carrozza and a short list of Italian plates, and the bar makes its own gelato for affogato. Aperitivo hour runs three to six every day the bar is open, and the space can be taken over for private events. Lunch through late dinner Tuesday to Saturday, a lunch-only service on Sundays, and closed Mondays.
