Nucci's opened on Red River Road in 1983 and added a second shop on Balmoral Street in 1995, and in the decades since it has become Thunder Bay's Italian bakery: breads and buns baked daily, Italian pastries and cookies, the Persian and sally ann sweets the city claims as its own, and custom cakes for weddings and birthdays. The deli side covers imported meats, specialty cheeses, groceries and sandwiches made at the counter. It is a full bakery-deli rather than a café, with weekly specials posted and a catering arm for events. This listing is the original Red River Road store.
